These were done as part of an exploration into one off forms of expression; like tattooing. The illustrative style used in the tattoo is closer to the pen and ink style that I sometimes work by hand in. This project was especially rewarding to me as recently I've been drawn to exploring that balance of light and dark or delicate with rough.

Here again it was important to me to play with depth and layering on a flat surface like skin and how those could help tell the story I am attempting to create here.
